The blade is made of X46Cr13 High Carbon Stainless Steel. This material is a perfect steel for everyday use, at home or in the professional kitchen. It is extremely resistant to rust, holds an impressive edge, and sharpens easily. The blade is hardened to 54HRC. This provides excellent resistance against edge wear and deformation while also allowing for easy re-sharpening. It offers the best of both worlds. The ergonomic handle is made of natural Walnut and is triple-riveted to the full tang for extreme durability.
